Val d'Isère Restaurants
For most of us, a skiing holiday isn't complete without good food in the chalet and out on the slopes. We don't believe that expensive food is necessarily good food. There is only one condition in our eyes, it has to be quality.
Val d'Isère and its neighbouring Tignes have some of the best restaurants in the Alps, catering for all tastes from gourmet Michelin starred food right through to a good old burger. At Fish&Pips we like to eat our way around a ski resort, and so intend to add to this list throughout the winter. We have carefully selected the variety of restaurants below to save you the trouble of trial and error. Holly and Philippa have a gastro-tour planned for the season to come so watch this space for their new recommendations!
We would advise booking restaurants for lunch and chalet night off in advance. Do ask a member of the team and they will happily reserve a table for you.
ON THE MOUNTAIN FOR LUNCH
You can't beat a good lunch on the mountain, be it delicious evening meals in the chalet, a picnic, a long and boozy lunch, a fleeting snack to fuel you for a full day's skiing, or simply to satisfy the craving for a traditional mountain spag bol.

If you're looking for atmosphere and a lunch that can quite easily roll into après ski then there's no better place.
