The Perks of my (Hils) job today is that I get to road test some wicked Oakley Goggles from the lovely team at Shade Station www.shadestation.co.uk/Oakley-Goggles.html .Well once I told the Chefs at The Abinger about testing out the goggles they we very keen to give them a whirl too!
If you do fancy some new goggles for the season I would recommend the Oakley A Frame 2.0 goggles as they are truly the next step in Oakley’s goggle evolution; crafted from similar materials and technology as the original A Frame, the A Frame 2.0 picks up where the A Frame left off with a stunning lower profile (but higher-periphery) fit. The A Frame 2.0 has a leaner, smoother shape which significantly improves aerodynamics, all while maintaining the technology that Oakley is famous for.
Here’s the techy part:
The A Frame 2.0 goggle collection has an O Matter chassis, a nylon-acetate blend that is ultra flexible and streamlined. This allows for optimal comfort within an incredibly strong frame, while allowing for better helmet compatibility thanks to its more streamlined design.
The frames aren’t the only thing that works its hardest; the Oakley Plutonite lenses provide award-winning clarity with a variety of top-secret materials blended together at a molecular level. This means not only incredible vision but a truly impact-resistant lens too, which looks not just to meet but to surpass all US government standards in its path. Triple-layer foam and an O Matter silicone-lined strap keeps the goggle in place during the trickiest of manoeuvres, with optional Iridium and Prizm versions of the lenses.
