Watersports holidays in Greece

19th August 2020

When you think Mediterranean and watersports, Greece is right at the top of the list of destinations.

With over 12,500 miles of coastline, azure seas, and reliable sea breezes, it’s definitely one of our very favourite places in Europe for a watersports holiday. Our Greek portfolio ranges all the way from luxury family beach resorts to fully crewed yachts, with everything in between for active families. And what they all have in common is excellent watersports facilities, the best kit, and expert tuition.

At Daios Cove in Crete, the conditions are fabulous for wind and kitesurfing, whilst guests at Eagles Palace and Elouanda Peninsula can learn to scuba dive at PADI certified centres. The waters here teem with all manner of marine life, attracting beginners and seasoned divers alike. Peligoni on the white sanded island of Zakynthos is the place for teenager beach life. Whilst they are wakeboarding or taking a Power Boat 2 course, you can sail from the club in dinghy of your choice, naturally all rigged and ready for you. Fully qualified RYA instructors give you one to one tuition and make sure you get the most out of your time on the water. So maybe a Laser in the morning and a Hobie Cat in the afternoon? Or maybe you could just cast a lazy eye from the comfort of your luxury villa terrace. We love an early morning kayak or paddle board around the bay, when the rest of the family are still asleep and the waters are perfectly still.  You can almost touch the fish as they glide past. Most of our Greek beach resorts have their own motorboats for charter, turning a day into an adventure exploring islands, empty beaches and coves with just a swimsuit and a picnic.

Whatever watersports holiday you’re looking to do, we can advise on where is best.
