We love Eagles for its welcoming team, varied and versatile offering.
Located overlooking the bay and above Eagles Palace, the popular family friendly beach hotel, is a collection of luxurious villas, for those seeking a little more privacy. Sleek interior design on the inside and a terrace with a plunge pool and a wide sea vista on the outside, they are spacious and very special. They have their own restaurant and traditional taverna, serving exceptional locally influenced dishes, whilst the restaurants, the Spa and everything the hotel has to offer, are all open to villa guests. This includes all of the kids clubs and Aqua watersports programme. Close to the Mount Athos UNESCO World Heritage Site; pristine beaches and warm, calm waters – we love this unspoilt part of Greece.
Perched above the hotel, with far reaching views out to sea and private pools, are the Eagle Villas. Families looking for a bit more independence and space love staying here, as they have full access to everything the hotel has to offer, including the restaurants, Spa and kids’ club, whilst having their own two restaurants and bars. From a Junior Pool Villa with a garden – perfect for a couple and small child, to the larger two and three bedroom villas, they are very spacious and truly luxurious. We think they’re a little slice of Greek heaven! We can chat through all the options with you to help make the choice a little less overwhelming.
Guests in the villas can self cater, or take advantage of the villa restaurants as well as all those in the main hotel below. Eagles Palace has a fabulous reputation for its approach to local gastronomy, whilst also offering an enticing international cuisine. Lofos is open for breakfast and dinner, and serves fresh Mediterranean food, with a good choice of international dishes. Italian food lovers will definitely want to eat at Eleonas by Fuga, where the pizzas and pasta will be a hit for all the family. For a real treat, choose from the All Day Dining menu, for food especially prepared for you and delivered wherever you may be, or take it out for a picnic.
Eagles Palace is seamlessly set up for families, and villa guests can use all the facilities. The kids’ club from 4 months to 13 years has a well-trained professional childcare team for babies and creative activities for the older ones, including a varied watersports programme. There are also a children’s pool, playground and babysitting services. We can tell you more and get your children booked in.
Eagles Palace is on a blue flag beach – the water doesn’t get more perfect and there’s a plethora of opportunities to spend time in it and on it. Guests can water ski, windsurf, kayak, paddleboard or wakeboard, and the resort has a PADI certified diving centre. Beginners are welcome, as are more experienced divers.
Speak to us if you’d like to book tuition for any of the watersports, as the rates are better when organising all your sessions together. A sea kayak tour which can take most of the day can also be arranged. Our favourite pastime here is to charter boat with a skipper for the day with a picnic, and just cruise around the peninsula, stopping off for the occasional swim. Land lovers can take the resort’s bikes out for the day – Eagles Palace can suggest a number of itineraries for you, or you can join one of the organised excursions. Or treat yourself to a day-package at the Spa, where a therapist will recommend treatments and therapies from a seemingly endless list.
