Aurous

Aurous

Life on the water doesn’t get much better than this. Catamarans are notable for their space, and Aurous is no exception. She is definitely a floating luxury villa and a truly memorable vessel for exploring the islands and waters of the Ionian. She has a fly-bridge “roof terrace” and helm station where you get the best views, and the ever favourite trampoline for simply lying on and watching the dolphins.

She comes with her own rib for ferrying you to little secluded bays and beaches or a tiny taverna for supper, wakeboard, ringo and banana boat and SUPs that can transform into windsurfs. Your chef will prepare a daily changing menu,, and you can even fish for your own supper. All the sails are electronically unfurled and furled, so there’s no need to move from your sun bed, but the skipper is always happy to teach you a little seamanship.

The master cabin is fitted with a king-sized bed and is spacious enough for a sofa and dressing area. The three further double cabins also have king-sized beds, each with a private shower room, and there’s a bunkroom with en suite shower. There is an option for the crew double cabin to be swapped for the bunk room, that can be organised on booking.

service

Aurous is a crewed yacht and comes with a skipper and a chef to look after you. Delicious locally sourced food is a very important part of the trip with breakfast and lunch included. Your chef will take advantage of the local and seasonal produce, whilst the captain will endeavour to catch fish… or perhaps stop the fisherman in the morning for the catch of the day. For dinners you can step ashore to dine at a traditional Greek taverna or eat on-board choosing both your menu and location.

Guests can be as involved as they like in the sailing, no experience is necessary but experienced sailors can take complete control and the crew will just be on hand as required. For more information about what to expect while on board please see attached PDF.

Aurous includes unlimited use of the watersports equipment; a rib, water skis, a wakeboard, windsurfing equipment, a ‘ringo’ doughnut, two stand up paddle boards.

The saloon has a 32 inch TV with DVD player, there is also a Bose music system including deck speakers so you can play your favourite tunes. Hopefully you can switch off while on-board but if emails do need to be accessed there is 3G based wifi on board.

There are also USB plugs for device charging and 220v (European plugs) for larger appliances. The cabins and living areas have individually controlled air-conditioning.

routes

This is one of the most beautiful sailing areas in the world. In a typical week you can expect to see dramatic scenery, idyllic coves, and a myriad of picture postcard fishing villages with atmospheric bars and tavernas. Your sailing route is tailored to your preferences so when planning your holiday, it is important to understand what your group would like.

Would you prefer to sail as much as possible and maximise miles covered; or travel at a more leisurely pace and stop for water- sports and swimming along the way?

Most trips start and finish in Corfu and will cruise the Northern Ionian Islands. For those wishing to cover more miles, there is the option to head further south, and explore the Southern Ionian too. For more information on routes and prices please see the attached PDF.
