OKU Ibiza, irresistibly hip, with a boho vibe, rewriting hotel design rules – it’s the new kid on the block and we love it. Drawing inspiration from the Japanese sense of well-being and the surrounding hills and emerald Med, the outside is brought in, giving a feeling of all pervading calm. Architecturally stunning yet simple, using natural materials and effects from far-flung places, it oozes laid back charm and sophistication.
The exteriors blend seamlessly with the interiors and there’s a hint of south east Asia throughout. This is barefoot luxury living taken to a serene and sophisticated level – a few days here will definitely restore your soul.

With earthy natural tones; bespoke furniture; hand picked objets d’art and immensely comfortable beds, the rooms and suites at OKU are sanctuaries of peace. Floor to ceiling windows and glass doors bring the Ibiza light in, creating relaxing spaces. We love The Swim Up Rooms that share a private pool with the surrounding rooms, and feature large daybeds on the edge of the water. If you’re with friends there is a Private Villa tucked away in a quiet corner of the grounds with four bedrooms and a private pool.

OKU is definitely destination dining. The restaurant has the talented Mark Vaessen creating Japanese and fusion cuisine, with sharing plates of delicious sashimi, nigiri and sushi and an extensive a la carte menu. For fresh Mediterranean and Spanish flavours, To Kima serves a fabulous selection of dishes all day, using locally sourced and grown ingredients. And for a health kick, head for the Juice Bar by the pool.

You may be hard pressed to step outside the grounds of OKU Ibiza. This is a place to wind down and reconnect. The focus is the fifty metre pool – the largest on the island, surrounded by supremely comfortable sun beds, and just an arm’s length from the pool bar. Stepping into the Spa, might be the most strenuous activity of your stay, where the treatments are inspired by botanicals from the island. There are complimentary daily roof top yoga sessions, pilates and tai chi classes, and personal trainers can tailor make your own fitness plan. Or maybe, just stay on your sun bed!
family
Children are very welcome at OKU, and all the suites can sleep three people. Babysitting can be arranged for evenings, as well as nannies during the day. The main pool is adult only.

Ecological balance is a key focus. The delicious menus at OKU Ibiza are constructed on a foundational philosophy of sustainably sourced produce, to limit the miles produce travels before it reaches your plate.
