Right at the bottom of the Bellevarde Express, Les Barmes de l’Ours has one of the best locations in the village. This super family friendly hotel also has a reputation for being one of the most welcoming, where nothing is too much trouble. The ski room staff are on hand to help morning and afternoon, and the shuttle service will take you wherever you want in resort – If you finished your day at the other end of the resort it is a treat to be picked up! An imposing chalet style hotel, its interiors are cosy and beautifully designed. It’s a place where you’re made to feel at home from the moment you arrive to the day you head home.

Each room and suite is individually styled and decorated and we love the themed floors. Starting with Scandinavian chic and working up through North American, Alpine Chalet and Contemporary Mountain Loft at the top, you’ll be hard pressed not to find something you like. Rooms range from Standard, through to Classic, Superior and Luxury, all of which are spacious and have their own private balcony. Some of these rooms can take an extra bed for a child under three.
There are forty seven rooms, and twenty nine suites, of which eleven are family suites. We’ll happily talk you through all the different options.

The choice of dining here is exceptional. From the very relaxed Le Coin Savoyard which serves utterly delicious local dishes and La Rotisserie, to the one Michelin star La Table de l’Ours – one of the best in the entire resort.

The Spa is huge, with an indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and fitness room. Guests can book a good range of treatments and therapies, and there’s even a hair salon (just what you need for helmet hair!). There is also a bowling alley which is a fun feature for all the family and the hotel has its own ski shop.
There are plenty of activities for both skiers and non-skiers on offer including; Skiing, Snowboarding, Ski Touring, Dog Sledding, Snow Shoeing, Snow Cat Driving, Snowmobile Driving, Sledging, Yoga, Pilates, Walking, Ice Climbing, Paragliding, Fat Biking, Horse Riding, Visit Aquasportif, Swimming or Spa, Hot Air Balloon Riding, and Helicopter Rides.

Whatever age your children, we think Les Barmes de l’Ours is a great family choice. There are eleven family suites, where the smallest detail is thought of – from snuggly slippers to mini bathrobes. There’s a games room full of toys and games, and for older children there are games consoles, a pool table and table football. Throughout the holidays, guests can use the mini-club from four pm to nine pm.
