Le Fitz Roy has the look and feel of an exclusive club. With its dark wood panels, leather furniture and slick monotone décor, it oozes cosmopolitan style. Its location could not be better for those looking to ski right from the front door, with instant access to the entire Three Valleys immediately after breakfast. Then end your day on the sunny south facing terrace with a well-earned drink. This is a great hotel for couples and families alike – cosy and intimate and just metres from the ski school meeting point. And if you have a sweet tooth, you’ll love the pudding menu!
All the rooms and suites are spacious and have a boutique hotel feel with views over the village or the slopes. Confort Rooms are ideal for couples, whilst the slightly larger Privilege Rooms can accommodate a family of three (child under 16). The Junior Suites are larger still, with the bedroom separate from the living area. Duplex Suites are more chalet-style and are split onto two levels – they are what we recommend for a family of four – whilst The Suite is very spacious and luxurious. Large family groups or parties of friends can take the Private Floor, which sleeps up to 12 and occupies the entire floor under the eaves. All the rooms have a TV, minibar and safe and many have their own fireplace, balcony and Bluetooth speakers.
Using fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, Le Fitz Roy restaurant has one of the best reputations in the resort. Dishes are inventive and thoroughly delicious. Guests can also eat at the neighbouring hotel – Le Val Thorens. The breakfasts here are second to none with an amazing variety, and will set you up for a day on the mountain, and we love the cosy bar with its roaring fire in the evening.
Le Fitz Roy is very welcoming with children and whilst there are no particular facilities, it is exceptionally close to the ski school meeting place, making it very popular with families.
The hotel’s Spa is a little haven of peace and quiet and guests can book a range of treatments and therapies. Open daily from 10am to 8pm for tired legs and aching bodies!
