Think Manhattan apartment with slope side chic and you have Le Coucou. The latest in an established family of boutique retreats, this little gem brings its particular brand of elegance to Méribel. Standing proud on the edge of the piste, close to the centre, guests have almost instant access to the entire Trois Vallées.
It is cool, sophisticated and welcoming all at the same time, with a philosophy of wanting guests to get the most out of their time spent here – even down to the ski room with its dedicated team to help you morning and evening. Enjoy a lunchtime drink on the large terrace watching the world glide by, or unwind in the beautifully designed Spa after a particularly long day on the mountain. Delicious food served in two restaurants and the bar, relaxing spaces, and five star services, all make Le Coucou a little alpine haven.

Designed with minimalist luxury, with views over the ski slopes, the valley or the alpine garden, the rooms and suites at Le Coucou promise space and comfort, light filled bathrooms and a few unique touches. Elements of classic mountain style feature throughout and each one has a balcony. For families, there are all sorts of interconnecting combinations, which we can talk you through. Each room and suite has a Nespresso machine, mini bar and TV, and there’s also a laundry service. Spread over four floors, Le Coucou has two private chalets. They are both ski in and ski out, with their own pool and can come with a private chef.

As with all our favourite places, the emphasis is very much on exceptional cuisine. The two restaurants at Le Coucou compliment each other brilliantly. The Beefbar brings exquisite cuts of meat to the mountains, where sharing platters and street food style dishes can be enjoyed out on the terrace. And Biancaneve specialises in regional dishes from all over Italy, paired with wine from a very well stocked cellar.

We love the design of the Spa, where you have your own little alcove by the pool. There are six treatment rooms, including a double, a hammam, sauna, Jacuzzi and steam room. There’s also a good range of fitness equipment, just in case you need some more exercise before or after skiing. Le Coucou has a fully equipped ski room where guests can be fitted with everything you need. And when you come back in the evening, you just leave all your kit, to find it ready and waiting for you the next day.

Le Coucou is not just for grown ups! Their Petit VIP offering covers a free kids club for children aged four to nine, and a Teens Lab for those aged ten to fifteen. A climbing wall, table tennis & football and karaoke are just a few of the features and activities here. Children’s menus and an almost infinite combination of interconnecting rooms are perfect for families.
