This unique hotel is built as a mountain hamlet and consists of a hotel, spa, restaurant, lounge bar and five luxury private chalets. All the rooms, suites and chalets are individually designed and decorated. Wooden panelling, sumptuous beds, beautiful fabrics and enormous and luxurious bathrooms, they each exude style and charm. There are five private chalets, sleeping between nine and sixteen guests. Each has its own pool, sauna and hammam (except for chalet La Grange) and come with a professional chef and host. Each chalet also includes breakfast and dinner.

The cuisine stakes have also been upped here with the restaurant serving intriguing and delicious Japanese and French fusion cuisine. The breakfasts are particularly good, especially the homemade pastries. Guests can also eat at La Mourra’s sister hotel Le Blizzard in the heart of Val d’Isère, where you’ll find more traditional French dishes. Each chalet also includes breakfast and dinner.

A visit to the spa is a must – even if it’s just to sit in the marble tiled steam room. The seventeen metre pool has a counter current; there are personal trainers; yoga and a whole range of treatments and therapies which the staff will be happy to book for you.

There’s no hibernation in Val d’Isère – summers are simply bursting with life! Whether it’s the miles of trekking and biking trails, or the more extreme canyoning and paragliding, there are plenty of activities to keep you satisfied.
