With clean white interiors, contrasting black volcanic rock facades and reflections of the Aegean, the suites and villas make you feel a million miles from anywhere. Minimalist chic décor, rainforest showers, supremely comfortable king size beds and sunset views of which you’ll never tire – they are all very seductive. And they all feel wonderfully private. The Deluxe Suite with Plunge Pool and the Honeymoon Suite with Plunge Pool are spacious and airy, with terraces for dining and their own heated pool – romantic heaven.
Transport yourself to a different world with the One Bedroom Pool Villa – with its fabulous terrace and generously sized pool. You’ll be hard pressed to explore the rest of the hotel, let alone the island. The Epitome Pool Villa is even more spacious, with panoramic views of the Aegean and neighbouring Thirassia Island. For families, the Two Bedroom Pool Villa is a little slice of Greek paradise. There’s so much living space – inside and out; both bedrooms are en suite with rainforest showers; heated pool with wet beds; an outdoor shower and a shaded dining space on the large courtyard style terrace. No element of design has been left to chance with the Aqua Retreat Two Bedroom Villa. It’s a 100sqm split level haven – with a glass wall to the pool from the ground floor bedroom. We love the terraced gardens and the dreamy views from here.

Start the day with the ever-changing breakfast menu, by the main infinity pool, or brought to your room. Traditional Greek delicacies, inspired by different regions of the country are the tastiest way to start the day. At Elements Restaurant, your palate will be amazed at the flavours and inventiveness that comes out of the kitchen. Chef Tassos Stefatos has taken Greek food to exceptional levels – his tasting menu must not be missed. And with the incredible backdrop from the terrace, this is surely one of the most amazing places to dine. Of course, you can also have lunch and dinner brought to your room.

Whilst it would be tempting to not set foot outside the walls of the hotel, there is an entire island to discover. Take to the sea by yacht to marvel at the Santorini cliff views and find the famed black beaches. View the caldera from the water, or sail further afield around nearby islands. There’s a small treatment room and gym – guests can have therapists come to their room, and there’s a dedicated yoga terrace with some rather magnificent views.
