At 7Pines the ethos is all about lifestyle and relaxed luxury, where the guest’s wellbeing and enjoyment is at its heart. Set on the western cliffs of Ibiza between pine groves and the sea, it is boutique coastal living with all the trappings. Low slung, whitewashed suites and villas cluster around pools and gardens whilst others look out from the clifftops across to the magnetic island of Es Vedra. There’s an air of supreme calm that seeps into you the moment you arrive – so much so, you just might not venture out for your entire stay. Everything you need is all here. Or the beach is just a few minutes’ walk away. Smiling staff go out of their way to make your stay as seamless as possible – you really don’t need to lift a finger.
The suites and villas are in three separate parts of the resort, giving it a relaxed village vibe. Everything is an effortlessly cool mix of modern design and boho chic, with breezy blue and light white interiors reflecting the water and sun throughout. The spectacular vista of Es Vedra greets those with a sea view, and each one has its own bar. They are all spacious and artfully appointed, with the one bedroom suites able to accommodate a couple and a child. The Laguna, the area of the resort most suited for families, is built around the central Laguna pool, with a mix of one and two bedroom suites. The one bedroom Laguna Suites and Laguna Suites Sea View are all on the ground floor, with spacious living areas that open up onto a covered terrace. The larger Laguna Suites Two-Bedroom on the ground floor with a terrace, and Laguna Suites Sea View Two-Bedroom on the first floor with a balcony, all have two en suite rooms, with a king or twin, and separate living areas. The Laguna Suite Swim Up has a covered terrace and its own garden with access to a shared swim up pool. Sprawled amongst the fragrant gardens is the white washed Ibcenco Village. The Resort Suites are spacious with a balcony overlooking the resort and cliffs; the Resort Suite Sea Views give you a rather fabulous Med aspect, whilst the Garden Suites open out onto private terraces and gardens and have large living spaces. If you’d like your own pool, the Garden Pool Suite is the one to go for. And for more space, the Garden Suites Deluxe and Resort Suites Deluxe are a very inviting size. Ideal for families are the Garden Pool Suite Two-Bedrooms – with plenty of living space, two bathrooms, a lush garden and its own pool. If it’s privacy you’re after, or perhaps a little exclusivity, the Cliff Suites tick every box. Just from the name, you know that they’re out of the ordinary. They are more villa style living, and it goes without saying that their views west across the sea are truly magnificent. Think sundowners and you’re halfway there. The Cliff Suites Duplex have very large living areas opening out onto terraces and a garden. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with the master bedroom looking directly out over the Med. The Cliff Suites Duplex Deluxe have an exceptionally large open plan living area, wide terrace with a summer living room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. At the very top end, and perfect for larger families, or those travelling with friends, Villa Bohemia and Villa Es Vedra both have four bedrooms, large terraces and gardens with a pool.
Delicious local flavours with an Asian influence, the cuisine at 7Pines feels like an adventure. Dinner at The View – it couldn’t be named anything else – is a romantic experience as the sun drops over the horizon. The dishes are truly exceptional – try the tasting menu for a journey through Spain and the Orient. A more Mediterranean sharing style of dining can be enjoyed at the Cone Club, where the tapas is very tasty and the vistas are magnificent. And you’ll find all the sophistication you could possibly need on the Pershing Yacht Terrace for pre-dinner cocktails or sundowners. Breakfast is served right up until midday – which really seems to sum up perfectly just how relaxed you become once you’re here. There are little snack bars by the pools and a home delivery service too.
There’s so much space and freedom at 7Pines, families can truly relax. For younger children there’s a kids’ club and for those in the Laguna Suites, you can watch your children in the pool from your terrace. The smaller suites can take an extra bed for one child, whilst the larger suites are spacious and perfect for families.
The charm of Ibiza is enduring – on the coast and inland. Moorish fishing villages, vibrant street markets, golden beaches – one of the White Isle’s finest is just a 15 minute walk away – and quiet trails criss cross throughout – all making day trips worthwhile. From the resort there’s mountain biking, quad bike hire and a host of water based sports – kayaking and paddleboarding along the coast to find hidden caves and quiet beaches and snorkeling spots. For a day on the water, there are three fully crewed Pershing yachts for hire. But if you’re just looking to stay put, 7Pines is the place to do it. Reconnect with yourself at the Pure Seven Spa, with its treatments based on traditional Mediterranean and ancient Eastern methods – we definitely recommend a pamper here. Bespoke therapies, private yoga and meditation sessions are all available. Or just sit on your sun lounger with some factor 50, a book and a long, cool drink.
Sustainability is part of the ethos at 7Pines. The delicious ingredients are locally-sourced, seasonal, and organic wherever possible, cooked on zero-carbon emission induction stoves. Each bungalow has solar panels, taking advantage of the beautiful weather, whilst the resort’s buggies are all electric. Their Kid’s Club is also eco-friendly and educational, designed to expose children to environmental issues and enhance their eco-awareness.
