Hideaway Type: A fully catered meticulously restored farmhouse retreat, located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, that can be booked exclusively or by the room.

Location: Killiehuntly is on its own 4,000-acre Highland estate. It is located in the stunning Cairngorms National Park just south of Aviemore an outdoor activities and winter sports hub. It is easily access able from all major Scottish airports including Glasgow international, Edinburgh and Aberdeen – under 3 hours drive away where as Inverness is just an 1 hour drive away. The nearest train station is in the village of Kingussie which has good connections from Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Facilities: Sauna Yurt, outdoor wooden plunge tub, two outdoor fire pits, (all shared with the other guests on the estate) parking, washing machine and dryer, towels, bathrobes, hairdryer, toiletries, raincoats, umbrellas, Wifi, honesty bar, housekeeper, chef, maps, homeware shop, reading room and library of books. No television.
Activities: The farm is part of Wildland Ltd whose main aim is to restore and conserve natural landscapes and local communities so there are plenty of activities based around this. Explore this beautiful region by foot. Follow the paths or go your own way for a day with a well organized rucksack and a tasty Killiehuntly Piece. Fishing is very popular here. Spend the day with an experienced ranger who will also teach you about all the various different wildlife here. Take the fat tire mountain bikes out for a ride off the beaten track. Go for a wild swim in the Tromie River. Have a ‘pony picnic’. Try the sauna yurt and work up a sweat. Relax at the Farmhouse with a book. You can also visit the local Ruthven Barracks, one of the best preserved British barracks built during the Jacobite uprising or head to the Speyside whisky distillery.
Children: The farmhouse does not allow children under 10 years old. If you hire the farmhouse exclusively then children are welcome. Cots and highchairs can be provided.
Furry Friends: Dogs are allowed to stay in The Hayloft (the close by studio apartment) but not in the Farmhouse itself. Dogs are £20 per dog for the stay. Maximum 2 dogs.
Service: It is a fully catered experience here with daily housekeeping. The price includes the following serving; Farmhouse Breakfast, Packed Sandwich, afternoon biscuit with Tea or Coffee and 3-course Dinner (5 nights a week).

Its design makes it feel warm and welcoming throughout, creating a cosy place to return to after a walk, fish, cycle, or experience in the wild.
Killiehuntly Farmhouse offers you an exclusive and personal retreat for up to 10 people on a fully catered basis. Alternatively, it is possible to stay on a non exclusive basis and share the Farmhouse with other likeminded individuals. If you choose this option do not worry as there is plenty of areas inside and outside to enjoy your own space. We love the idea of sitting in the garden watching the sunset sipping a tipple from the honesty bar before heading in to your locally sourced, home cooked delicious supper. The Farmhouse feels like a stylish home from home.
It is the perfect retreat for like-minded people who love design and beautiful things, nature as well as quality time away creating memories with loved ones.
In the Farmhouse there are 4 bedrooms. The largest of the bedrooms is The Alder Room with a super comfortable four poster bed, writing desk and en-suite bathroom. The Elm Room is smaller but just as beautifully furnished with king-size bed and private adjoining bathroom. The Birch room boasts a king-size bed, comfy armchair, writing desk and spectacular views over the fields, this room has a shared bathroom. The Oak room is spacious with stunning landscape views as well as a Queen size bed and a shared bathroom.
Close to the Farmhouse is The Hayloft which is a charming and cosy stone cottage with lovely exposed wooden beams. It the perfect romantic bolt hole. The Hayloft has been exquisitely furnished with a mix of both Danish and Scottish craftsmanship. It has a small kitchen when you enter as well as a downstairs shower room, you then head upstairs to an open plan living area with a sitting area at one end and a large double bed at the other.
The Farmhouse and The Hayloft are catered so if you choose to stay in one of these rooms you will receive a wholesome home-made breakfast, picnic lunch, afternoon tea and biscuits as well as a 3-course dinner. As Killehuntly is a working farm the food is from the farm, its garden, greenhouse or is locally sourced. Here is all about homemade, local, simple and honest food being served in a setting where people escape the daily routine and busy life.
The Farmhouse is available to rent exclusively on a fully catered basis, for a minimum of 2 nights rental, making it the perfect place for that special holiday or celebration that you have been planning. Let the housekeeping and private chef look after your every need. If you are a larger party then you can hire exclusively The Farmhouse, Geordies’s Cottage and The Bothy together to sleep up to 19 people. The Killiehuntly Estate
Located within the Carirngorms National Park, Killehuntly is just a two hour drive north of Edinburgh, yet you will feel like you are in another world when you arrive here. This estate is bursting with breathtaking natural beauty. Carirngorms National Park is home to an abundance of wildlife, castles and distilleries, excellently located within the Scottish Highlands. If you are a fan of country pursuits activities range from Deer Stalking, pony picnics, wild swimming, fishing and cycling. There are also endless walking paths and trails that will take you on adventure through dense woodlands, lakes, rivers and valleys.
On the estate, there is also a greenhouse, an outdoor wooden plunge pool (cold) and a yurt sauna under the trees, and two outdoor fire pits that all guests can use. Parking is available, and there is also a communal laundry area with a washer and dryer.
