Location: Geordies Cottage is on a 4,000-acre Highland estate. It is located in the stunning Cairngorms National Park just south of Aviemore an outdoor activities and winter sports hub. It is easily access able from all major Scottish airports including Glasgow international, Edinburgh and Aberdeen – under 3 hours drive away where as Inverness is just an 1 hour drive away. The nearest train station is in the village of Kingussie which has good connections from Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Facilities: Private terrace with a BBQ grill, parking, firewood, log burning stove, washing machine and dryer, towels, bathrobes, hairdryer, toiletries, raincoats, umbrellas, Wifi, maps, dishwasher, twice weekly housekeeping.
Activities: Geordies Cottage is part of Wildland Ltd whose main aim is to restore and conserve natural landscapes and local communities so there are plenty of activities based around this. Explore this beautiful region by foot. Follow the paths or go your own way for a day with a well organized rucksack and a tasty Killiehuntly Piece. Fishing is very popular here. Spend the day with an experienced ranger who will also teach you about all the various different wildlife here. Take the fat tire mountain bikes out for a ride off the beaten track. Go for a wild swim in the Tromie River. Go for a ‘pony picnic’. Try the sauna yurt and work up a sweat. Relax with a book. You can also visit the local Ruthven Barracks, one of the best preserved British barracks built during the Jacobite uprising or head to the Speyside whisky distillery.
Children: This is the perfect family cottage. Cots and highchairs can be provided on request.
Furry Friends: Dogs are allowed to join you here. Dogs are £20 per stay. Up to 2 dogs allowed.
Service: It is a self-catered cottage with twice weekly housekeeping. The farm office at Killiehuntly plays host to a little shop, where you can find curated food provisions as well as local spirits & beers to enjoy during your stay.

Named after one of the former farm workers, this cottage has been restored impeccably, keeping the traditional stone walls downstairs whilst blending this with contemporary furnishings. Everything here is well thought out with a mix of both Danish and Scottish craftsmanship. This hideaway sleeps 5 guests in one master bedroom, a twin-bedded room and a single bedroom. It has a fully equipped kitchen, sitting room with wood burning stove, bathroom and a shower room.

This estate is bursting with breathtaking natural beauty. Carirngorms National Park is home to an abundance of wildlife, castles and distilleries, excellently located within the Scottish Highlands. If you are a fan of country pursuits activities range from Deer Stalking, pony picnics, wild swimming, fishing and cycling. There are also endless walking paths and trails that will take you on adventure through dense woodlands, lakes, rivers and valleys.
