Geordie’s Cottage is a charming luxury self-catered cottage with stunning views from every window, overlooking the undulating mountains and forests of the Cairngorm National Park.

It is the perfect place for families to have some quality time together far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.


Situated on the Killiehuntly estate and  surrounded by the Caringorms National park it makes a wonderful place to explore the breathtaking Scottish Highlands.  

Named after one of the former farm workers, this cottage has been restored impeccably, keeping the traditional stone walls downstairs whilst blending this with contemporary furnishings. Everything here is well thought out with a mix of both Danish and Scottish craftsmanship. This hideaway sleeps 5 guests in one master bedroom, a twin-bedded room and a single bedroom. It has a fully equipped kitchen, sitting room with wood burning stove, bathroom and a shower room.

It is a self-catered cottage with twice weekly housekeeping. The farm office at Killiehuntly plays host to a little shop, where you can find curated food provisions as well as local spirits & beers to enjoy during your stay. Possibility of booking a third party caterer if you wish. The kitchen is stocked with some good staples, including salt & pepper, cooking oil, tea, coffee, and milk.

Geordies Cottage is part of Wildland Ltd whose main aim is to restore and conserve natural landscapes and local communities so there are plenty of activities based around this. Explore this beautiful region by foot. Follow the paths or go your own way for a day with a well organised rucksack and a tasty Killiehuntly Piece. Fishing is very popular here. Spend the day with an experienced ranger who will also teach you about all the various different wildlife here.


Take the fat tire mountain bikes out for a ride off the beaten track. Go for a wild swim in the Tromie River. Go for a ‘pony picnic’. Try the sauna yurt and work up a sweat. Relax with a book. You can also visit the local Ruthven Barracks, one of the best preserved British barracks built during the Jacobite uprising or head to the Speyside whisky distillery.

The Killiehuntly Estate

Located within the Carirngorms National Park, Killehuntly is just a two hour drive north of Edinburgh, yet you will feel like you are in another world when you arrive here. This estate is bursting with breathtaking natural beauty. Carirngorms National Park is home to an abundance of wildlife, castles and distilleries, excellently located within the Scottish Highlands. If you are a fan of country pursuits activities range from Deer Stalking, pony picnics, wild swimming, fishing and cycling. There are also endless walking paths and trails that will take you on adventure through dense woodlands, lakes, rivers and valleys.
