Val d' Isere Resort Information
This season we are delighted to offer 3 chalets in the leading French resort of Val d'Isere as part of our Fish&Pips portfolio. With its fantastic and extensive skiing, buzzy town and beautiful scenery, Val d'Isere has a lot to offer and certainly lives up to its reputation as one of the best ski resorts in the world.
Val d'Isere is a firm favourite with both British and French snow lovers. Combined with its neighbouring resort, Tignes, the ski area is known as the Espace Killy and is the major rival to the Trois Vallees and of equal excellence. It is has over 300km of marked pistes and unlimited fantastic off piste skiing thus ticking boxes for all skiers from total beginners to powder hunting experts.
The resort itself is full of character and charm. Nestled in the Manchet Valley with soaring mountains either side and the Isere River running through it, the scenery in Val d'Isere is breath-taking and you get a real sense of being in the mountains here. Originally a small farming village, Val d'Isere has developed into a modern, stylish and bustling Alpine Village. It grew up around its church and beautiful old town which is still the centre point today. Val d'Isere is jam-packed full of shops, bars, restaurants and non-skiing activities to keep everyone occupied from the moment you come off the slopes to the time your head hits the pillow. The village is on the flat which makes getting around really easy and being purpose built means that the lifts, slopes and town centre are only a stone's throw away. Val d'Isere has a superb and complimentary bus service which is on a loop from morning 'til night giving access to Le Fornet and La Daille. Travel to the resort is 2-3hrs from any of the major airports and only 40 minutes from Bourg St Maurice station, the final stop for the train from St Pancreas, London.
