Bars & Après in Val d'Isère
Val d'Isère is notorious for its lively après ski and night life. The resort boats a handful of fantastic après bars on and off the mountain, and an array of bars and clubs for the night owls. Here are a few of our suggestions:
La Folie Douce
This well known après bar on the side of the mountain definitely lives up to its reputation! The bands, DJs and saxophonist play from the balcony and people start dancing on tables from 3pm. If you like your après then this is the place for you. It also serves standard self-service food.
This lively bar is centrally located. It is one of Val d'Isère biggest and most popular British bars with some of the best bands in the Alps playing every day. It's also relatively inexpensive as far as Val d'Isère bars go and great for late night dancing, closing at 2am.
One of the more chilled and hidden bars in Val d'Isère. Frequented mainly by locals, but extremely welcoming and somewhere you could easily settle in for the night.
A relaxed bar with live music most evenings.
Petit Danois A Scandi bar with a good atmosphere and good looking staff! Give the Danish beer 'Red Eric' a whirl or eat in their casual yet lovely restaurant.
Serves the cheapest beers in town and has excellent après-ski happy hour.
Dick's Tea Bar
The original Alpine night club and the place to go after the bars have closed. With 3 bars serving almost anything you can think of, you'll be sure to enjoy yourself here and of course suffer the next morning!
Popular with the French locals, cheesy some might say with flashing dance floor.
Growing in popularity this club is open late and has both live bands and well known DJs playing regularly.
