Bars & après Val d’Isère

Our guide to the best places to relax or to party in Val d’Isère after a day on the slopes…

Le Blizzard

One of our F&P partner hotels the lounge at Le Blizzard in downtown Val d’Isère must not be missed during a stay in Val d’Isère.  Huge sofas, an open fire and we think the best cocktails in resort.  Rest your legs after a day on the slopes and one of the team will create a cocktail for any particular fancy.

Coco Rico

For the après-ski party that Val d’Isère is famed for head to Coco Rico at the foot of the slopes for a live-music-and-DJ, dancing-on-tables nightly extravaganza. A firm favourite for the party goers of all ages, a stunning outside bar with views of the spectacular mountains all around.

Café Face

The official after party for La Folie Douce happens here every night; cabaret music with a live sax player and vocalist makes it a perfect place for some laid back lounge bar vibes. Small and intimate it’s the place to be seen in Val d’Isère.

Le Petit Danois

A popular haunt for local seasonnaires, this scandi run bar has regular live music and pool tables where the après ski vibe runs in to late night dancing.

Le Yule

With a sunny terrace overlooking the snow front in the resort centre our F&P partner hotel is a great place to watch the kids master the nursery slopes. Head inside for chilled acoustic music from 4pm, you could even slide on in to dinner – Le Yule has it all.  With a chic Scandinavian style design and a lovely menu it’s a great spot for coffees or cocktails (their espresso martinis might even be the perfect mix!).

La Folie Douce

The famous Folie Douce is renowned for being one of the best après ski spots in Europe. With live bands and DJs it is has a ‘clubbing’ vibe but finishes by 6pm. We recommend getting there for around 4pm to get the full Folie experience. If you have one too many vin chauds to ski down to La Daille (and hop on the bus back to Val d’Isère) then you can always get the bubble down!
