In addition to the vast amounts of skiable terrain, Meribel has a fantastic range of ski & snowboard facilities ranging from ski school & ski hire through to childcare. Read on for more info!
We recommend three fantastic ski schools for guests of our ski chalets in Meribel – Magic, Parallel Lines and Marmalade. All schools are of equal standard with English speaking instructors, but at the same time they all offer something a little different to fit our guests’ skiing needs. We can help arrange lessons for you in advance or in resort, alternatively you can book online.
Magic Ski School
Highly recommended, Magic offers a very personal service. The ski school specialises in English taught group ski lessons as well as private tuition for both adults and children. It is renowned for its superb children’s lessons with innovative activities such as catching the Magic Mouse! Groups are kept to a maximum of 6 children for “Little Ones” and 8 pupils for “Kids Fun Factory” and are taught exclusively in English.
Parallel Lines British Ski and Snowboard School
A very popular choice run by people who know Meribel inside out. You will find the team of British instructors are friendly, patient and professional. This ski school has a real focus on families, offering their superb children’s courses throughout the season. For adults, there are group and private lessons available for both skiing and snowboarding. Parallel Lines also specialise in off-piste courses and their personal take on heli-skiing, right here in the 3 Valleys – an experience to remember! All lessons are in English and the groups are small. Their friendly booking team will be able to help with information and advice.
Marmalade Ski School
From your first ever turns down the beginner runs to some of the most exciting off-piste the 3 Valleys have to offer. All delivered by fully qualified, experienced British Instructors. They offer private lessons, performance clinics, youth specific weeks, corporate packages and specific development weeks for training ski instructors.
Meribel Ski Passes
Ski passes can be ordered easily in advance with your booking. They will be waiting in your ski chalet in Meribel on your arrival so you can get up that mountain as fast as physically possible!
We have based the prices below on 6 days, but you can buy a pass for as little or as many days as you like. You can also buy a half day pass for the day you arrive and would like to ski in the afternoon. These are the prices for winter 2013/14 and are subject to slight changes. If you are skiing in a group of less than three people it will be cheaper to buy your passes through us as we benefit from the group discount for all clients, regardless of group size. This discount is not available at the lift pass office for groups smaller than three.

Insurance (Carre Neige)
Please note Carré Neige insurance covers you for transport off the mountain, either on or off piste. If you show your lift pass receipt to the pisteurs they will take the policy number and their costs will be met by the insurance – you have no further involvement. Once the pisteurs have dropped you at the doctors this cover ends. Carré Neige is not a full insurance policy – it’s a top-up cover designed to act in tandem with your state or private health insurance. It will reimburse only those costs not covered by your main insurance. Comprehensive winter sports insurance should cover you without the Carré Neige, but do check your policy before travelling.
