Meribel Village

MERIBEL VILLAGE 1400m

All our chalets are based in Meribel Village and we wouldn't look anywhere else in Meribel now. The Village offers some of the best access to the 3 Valleys and is only a short bus or taxi ride into Meribel centre. Meribel Village is a beautiful and peaceful spot with a fantastic villagey atmosphere. It's built in traditional chalet style and has everything you need right there on your door step. It has something for everyone - peace and tranquillity for relaxing, superb access for the keen skiers and the best apres ski in Meribel. In our opinion you can't better the Village and once you get there you won't want to leave!

Meribel Village

MERIBEL VILLAGE SUMMARY

  • Unbeatable access to the 3 Valleys

The Golf chairlift is only between 60 - 150m from all of our chalets. This brand new chairlift is high speed and connects you straight the Altiport (beginners area) and into the vast terrain of the 3 Valleys. This proximity is a rare luxury in the Alps and also means you bypass the queues at the main lift area, the Chaudanne. The past few winters you have also been able to ski back to the terrace/car park of most chalets pretty much all winter.

  • Accessibility and transport

Not only does the Village offer superb access to the slopes, but also to Meribel centre and other parts of the valley. The complimentary public buses run from morning to night (last bus at 12:30am). These are reliable with a journey time of 3 minutes to the Chaudanne. For early morning ski schools we provide a F&P shuttle service.

  • Non-skiing

The Golf chairlift is available for pedestrian use so you can explore the fantastic walks and view up at the Altiport. There is also a walker's path that leads up from the top of the Village. There is tobogganing on the Lapin piste early evening and lots of sunbathing to be done either on our terraces or outside the Lodge du Village or the bakery.

  • Facilites

Meribel Village is pretty self-contained with a mini-supermarket, 2 restaurants (one Italian for cheap pizzas and pastas, one rustic Savoyard for fondues and onion soup), ski shop, clothes shop, and quite honestly the best bakery in the 3 Valleys.

  • Apres

The Lodge du Village (LDV) has the best apres ski in Meribel. The small and intimate bar has live bands playing every other night. Although it can get extremely lively, it is family-friendly and most of the F&P guests (and staff) become locals very quickly. One word of warning though, beware of the Mutzig and Toffee Vodka. There's nothing quite like it in the evening when the sun is shining, the band is playing on the terrace and there's a unique and buzzing atmosphere. If you would like to experience apres at the Rond Point, then our driver service runs until 19:30 and can come tear your away from dancing on the terrace.

  • Children

The Village has a really safe and friendly atmosphere, quite often children will pop to the bakery or will even make their own way over to the LDV. Most of the chalets are away from the main road and with plenty of space for running around in the snow and building snow-men. The piste is also nearby for tobogganing.

  • Night Life

If you are brave enough to leave the confines of the Village in search of nightlife, then the public buses run until late. After supper you can catch the bus into Meribel centre to try out one of the many bars on offer. If you want to carry on late into the night then taxis are readily available for 15 Euros or it's a 20 minute walk back from Dick's Tea Bar!

MERIBEL 1450m

The Meribel Valley, in our opinion, is the most beautiful of the 3 Valleys. Sandwiched between soaring peaks of Val Thorens valley and the wide open pistes of the Courchevel valley it is hard to beat Meribel as a ski destination. These valleys make the vast ski terrain of the Trois Vallees.

Meribel centre itself has lots to offer; numerous bars and restaurants; the Olympic centre with its gym, ice-rink, bowling alley, swimming pool, climbing wall; lots of shops for perusing; and daily events such as torchlight processions and bands playing in the square. This is all a few minutes away on the public bus or in our minibus.
