There’s a real ‘oooo wow’ moment when first walking into Chalet Imry (and every time after that), one of Fish & Pips’ four self-catered Val d’Isere properties situated on the first floor of state-of-the-art apartment building Canadienne, and in an area of town known as Little Alaska.
Beautifully designed in what we can only describe as luxury alpine chic, complete with rustic wooden panelling, a stunning stone dining table, sheepskin throws, log fireplace, high-spec entertainment system and the most avant-garde lighting feature we’ve possible ever seen (see below), it’s a magnificent mountain retreat to nest in during a skiing holiday to Val d’Isere.
We’re particularly fond of the two perfectly chosen pieces of animal artwork hung on the walls of the expansive and cosy open plan living-space, a multi-coloured Steven Brown print of a yak licking his lips and a painting we’ve affectionally named ‘Bourg The Bear’.
This chalet got some serious style.
And the bedrooms aren’t bad either. Sleeping 6-8, Imry has three gorgeous double bedrooms – including two en suite – complete with bathrooms of dreams, as well as a separate bathroom and cosy bunk room.
When those days get longer and the sun shines harder, Imry’s south facing balcony – boasting a majestic mountain view – is a rosè guzzling hotspot, and the optimal position for some afternoon people watching and for topping up that face tan.
Only 3 minutes from the bus stop, or 7 minutes from the nursery slopes, Imry is ideally located and just 5 minutes from the buzzing centre of Val d’Isere.
We’ve a handful of available weeks still left for Imry this season;
March 10th, April 7th, April 14th.
